Which Tobii eye tracker should I choose?
For screen-based research, Tobii Pro Spectrum suits psychophysics, optometry and psychology; Pro Fusion adds portability, including infant studies; Pro Spark is an easy first system for UX and teaching. For the real world, Pro Glasses 3 suits published research and Glasses X suits training and inspection.
Can I run eye tracking with a standard webcam?
Yes. Tobii webcam eye tracking, built on Tobii Nexus technology, estimates gaze from a standard webcam in Tobii Pro Lab or inside your own software. Tobii quotes 1.85 degrees accuracy on site in optimal conditions, suited to studies that use areas of interest.
Can I measure cognitive load from eye tracking?
Yes. SOMAREALITY turns Tobii wearable recordings into Cognitive Load, a Conscious Perception Index and an Attention Type Classifier, processed after the session. Cognitive Fatigue is coming soon.
Can I record several participants at once?
Yes. Ergoneers Prophea.X records eye tracking for several participants in parallel, each wearing Tobii Pro Glasses 3, synchronised with video, physiology and simulator data on one timeline.
Can I combine EEG, GSR and facial expression with eye tracking?
Yes. Shimmer3R GSR records in Tobii Pro Lab, Bitbrain EEG synchronises with Tobii recordings, and Noldus The Observer XT brings Tobii data together with FaceReader and coded behaviour.
