Technology · TEA

Posture, effort and strain, measured on the job.

TEA’s CAPTIV puts video, wireless body sensors and eye tracking on one timeline, then scores ergonomic risk with OCRA, RULA and NIOSH. TEA has specialised in measuring people at work for more than 30 years.

Supplied and supported in the Middle East by Consort XPR.

01 · CAPTIV software

One timeline for video, sensors and gaze.

CAPTIV is sold as a permanent, transferable licence. Raw data stays yours, and exports to CSV, TXT, EDF and SPSS.

Platform

CAPTIV L7000

Synchronises any camera (phone, GoPro or webcam) with T-Sens sensors and partner systems, including eye trackers, EEG and Xsens motion capture.

CAPTIV angulation analysis report pages

Risk scoring

CAPTIV Score

OCRA index and checklist, RULA and NIOSH lifting, calculated from the sensor data, with custom reports.

CAPTIV Activity software banner

Observation

CAPTIV Activity

Video coding of gestures, postures and events, with duration, transition and overlap statistics.

Engineer with a tablet on a factory floor beside machine operators

Automation

CAPTIV AI

Segments activity automatically from motion data. TEA quotes about a minute to process an hour of recording, against about four hours by hand.

Cardiac

Heart Rate Module

Workstation hardness from heart rate, using the Meunier method and relative cardiac cost. Useful for return-to-work decisions.

Research and VR

CAPTIV-NeuroLab

Emotional-response studies with visual stimuli, in real or VR scenes, built by drag and drop.

02 · T-Sens sensors

Small, wireless, and on the body for a full shift.

Most T-Sens sensors weigh about 30 g, stream live up to 10 m, record on board, and run for about eight hours. One T-Rec receiver takes up to 16.

TEA T-Sens Motion wireless IMU sensor

32 to 128 Hz

T-Sens Motion

Joint angles and posture from 9-axis IMUs. Two sensors per joint, up to 15 for a full body. Six-hour battery.

TEA T-Sens EMG sensor on a forearm

Up to 2048 Hz

T-Sens EMG-2

Surface muscle activity, with RMS calculated on the sensor for fast analysis.

TEA T-Sens ECG sensor on a chest belt

256 Hz

T-Sens ECG

Raw ECG and heart rate, on a chest belt or snap electrodes.

TEA T-Sens GSR sensor with finger electrodes

32 Hz

GSR and temperature

Skin conductance, with or without skin temperature, plus single and three-point temperature sensors for heat-stress work.

TEA T-Sens respiration sensor with chest strap

32 Hz

T-Sens Respiration

Breathing rate and depth from a chest or abdominal strap.

TEA T-Sens load cell sensor

32 Hz

Load cell and finger force

Push and pull force, and pressure across three fingers, feeding the force inputs for OCRA and NIOSH.

TEA T-Rec wireless receiver with antenna

Up to 16 sensors

T-Rec receiver

The USB hub that synchronises up to 16 sensors at once, with trigger in and out. Accelerometer and Universel sensors add third-party inputs.

With Tobii. TEA lists Tobii first among its eye-tracking partners, and CAPTIV synchronises both wearable and screen-based eye trackers. Gaze, posture and muscle load then sit on one timeline. Confirm your Tobii model with us before you order, and we will check it with TEA.

03 · Where it is used

Built for the workplace first.

Musculoskeletal disorder prevention is TEA’s core, and its published case studies come from real sites.

04 · Questions

Before you specify.

Which ergonomic risk methods does CAPTIV score?

CAPTIV Score calculates OCRA (index and checklist), RULA and NIOSH lifting from the sensor data.

Can I use my own cameras?

Yes. CAPTIV synchronises video from any camera, including phones, GoPros and webcams.

Is CAPTIV a subscription?

No. TEA sells CAPTIV as a permanent, one-time-purchase licence that can be transferred.

Does CAPTIV work with Tobii eye trackers?

TEA lists Tobii first among its eye-tracking partners, and CAPTIV supports both wearable and screen-based trackers. Tell us your Tobii model and we will confirm compatibility with TEA before you order.

Can I add sensors from other makers?

Yes. CAPTIV works with Xsens motion capture, Delsys EMG and several EEG systems, and the T-Sens Universel accepts any sensor with a 0 to 3 V output.
